People are wondering what my next steps are. Here it is.
I am no longer a candidate for Portland City Council. But I want to be clear about something: your power was never only in your vote.
Your power is in your wallet. Your power is in how you show up.
So show up.
Help fund A to Z, the fund that supports the completion and access needs of artists and creatives right here in Portland. Creatives are the grit of this city, the cornerstone of this country. You cannot have resilience without creativity. A city has no resilience without its creatives, and creativity cannot carry a city alone. It needs the resilience of real support behind it.
This is something near and dear to me. I brought it with me from Oakland, and now it lives here in Portland.
Three ways to show up
